Silent Stream of Godless Elegy

Czech Republic - Active.

Description

Atmospheric Doom, Death/Doom

An intimate blend of Doom Metal and Moravian Folk music, featuring melodic guitar lines, violins, cellos, and dueling male and female vocals. The first couple of albums of SSoGE were directly affiliated with the brigade of romantic Death/Doom Metal that was becoming popular at the time, perhaps sounding most similar to a catchier Celestial Season. The more recent albums are significantly quieter and more accessible, putting the female vocals and acoustic passages more in the forefront and dropping most of the Death Metal influences. Overall, their work would be worthy of recommending to fans of Ashes You Leave, Autumn, and Dissolving of Prodigy.
