Black Wreath

Denmark - Active.

Description

Death/Doom, Funeral Doom

This gloom is a trio of experienced Danish musicians: Kim Larsen (:Of The Wand & The Moon:, The Loveless, and Saturnus), Peter Mesnickow (Blazing Eternity), and Dave Müller (Whelm and Chasing Eudaimonia). The funeral doom of Black Wreath is often bleak and blackish, but should not be compared to the sound of Nortt. Rather than focusing on minimalism, this band uses everything from symphonic elements to oldschool guitar tuning to get a unique sound picture. Sort of like blending Saturnus, Tyranny, Bethlehem, Until Death Overtakes Me, and Thergothon.
