Funeral Doom Mournful Congregation is a melodic Funeral Doom band from Adelaide, Australia, founded in 1993. The music's quiet solemnity is animated by strong melodic accents, delivered through the electric and even more particularly via the acoustic guitar whose recurring part in the songwriting constitutes the band's most prominent signature. The typical deep growls are often complemented by whispered vocals, further enhancing the original soft, mellifluous side of the band. |

The band used to share several members with Chalice, but does not sound anything like that band. In interviews they have distanced themselves from being associated with Chalice. 'Four Burials' is a split with Loss, Orthodox and Otesanek. |
