Death/Doom, Gothic/Doom Saturnus' debut album 'Paradise Belongs to You' blew the Doom- metal community away when it first came out. One of the most powerful releases in the so-called death/doom genre. Combining melodic parts with some ultra slow grinding elements and using both spoken word, whispers and grunts, Saturnus managed to create one of the most powerful atmospheres ever. After their debut, the band lost much of its heaviness in favour of a more mellow gothic metal approach (with 4 different vocal styles). |
