| Avantgarde Doom Based in Tampere, solo project Kalmo was intended to "create the darkest doom metal you can find", based on influences such as Hellhammer, Celtic Frost, Vorum, Candlemass and Slayer. Their sound is a brutal, almost-industrial one, slow and dehumanised - with growled/snarled lyrics in Finnish - that doesn't easily fit into any of the standard genres, but prefers to experiment with hard-edged, metallic noise. |
