Aeonian Sorrow

International - Active.

Description

Funeral Doom, Atmospheric Doom

An international project, featuring members from both Finland and Greece. Aeonian Sorrow takes the melodic Death/Doom stylings of bands like Red Moon Architect, Swallow the Sun, and Draconian and pushes them into the spacey, dreamy Funeral Doom tempos of Shape of Despair. The vocals alternate between deep, dark female cleans, and the aggressive male grunts which sound relatively commonplace for the style. Painfully slow tempos, dreary piano lines, a harrowing atmosphere, and a crystal clear production make up the bulk of the band's music. It's very suitable for fans of The Slow Death and Clouds.
