Ex People

United Kingdom - Active.

Description

Sludge/Doom

A self-proclaimed "cool doom" band, Ex People are quite the enigma. Featuring the ex-members of an Indie Pop band known as Internet Forever, one could say that they are playing Sludge from a non-Metal perspective. Textures of Grunge and Rock sneak their way into the raw, chugging riffs, with tempos ranging from catchy Sludge Rock tracks to hypnotic, cold Doom dirges. Topped off with female vocals that are clean and melodic (yet heavily distorted), the band's style is a unique blend overall. Similarities to Kylesa, Melvins, Floor, and Black Moth can be detected, but overall, Ex People have taken Sludge to a pretty new direction.
