Gothic/Doom, Black/Doom
Estonian band Ecthalion played mystical, majestic music that seemed to lie somewhere between Katatonia's first album, 'Dance of December Souls', and Tristania's first album, 'Widow's Weeds'. Raw, yet weeping, guitar riffs and a slow-to-mid tempo pace carry on songs featuring blackened shrieks, operatic female singing, and romantic sounding pianos and synths. Their blend of Blackened Gothic/Doom Metal would be suitable for those who enjoy the early days of Gothic Metal, as well as those who like raw, mournful sounding Doom. |
