Dolorian

Finland - Active.

Description

Black/Doom, Ambient

Eerie and mysterious Black/Doom Metal, lying somewhere between the first albums of Bethlehem and Katatonia. Dark riffs, gnarly shrieks, and heavy use of Ambient elements make for a very creepy and sinister listening experience.

Misc

Members from Dolorian also play in I.Corax, Depther, Aeoga and Halo Manash. All these bands fit into the dark ambient and industrial genres. A. Haapapuro and A. Kukkohovi used to play in a melodic BM outfit called Black Swan. J. Ontero plays in a power metal band called Ghost Machinery. The 'Dolorian/Shining Split' was recorded in 2002, but label problems left it waiting for nearly two years before it was finally released. Dolorian refused to release the lyrics for the track 'A Part Of Darkness' on 'When All The Laughter Has Gone', and several parts of the lyrics on almost all the other tracks on all releases. This is because Dolorian find those fragments of the lyrics too personal to release.
