Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Mother Eel.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

Im Adrian Johnstone (drums, vocals and other things) and I was a part of its inception, left for a year before 2010 then returned. Many beers, cold restless nights and fevered laughter started the band.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

We generally like death metal but our playing style has always incorporated a mixture of doom, grooves and grind. Svalbard focused primarily on the doom aspect. We will be doing a 7"/split and make it more of a grind release with grooves.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

Convincing a show we were a late act, played a fucking killer 10min set of grind songs, almost trashed a drum kit and ourselves, then left! Best show ever!

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Pig Destroyer, Meshuggah, Naked City.

5. What are your plans for the near future?

Raising a child...then some music. Getting my daughter to play the drums. Well plan to make and release more music if gigs are harder to work in our lives. We can always make new songs.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.
