Quick Introductory Interview.

Interview with De Profvndis Clamati.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

I am Kleber Fainer, lead singer and keyboardist and main songwriter of De Profvndis Clamati, the band itself has started as a folk/Black Metal act and when I came in and became involved with the Project earlier in that time I’ve brought about the dramatic tragic concept; the band has then turned into a Funeral Doom Metal band, it was in early 2002.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

Doom Metal is the core, the best appropriate musical style to portrait my deepest and most eloquent feelings, thus it was a natural choice for me. De Profvndis Clamati’s particular style can be described as a mix between 'Romantic Tragic Funeral Doom Metal' and 'Neo-Classical Funeral Doom Metal', basically a heterogeneous symbiosis between a massive amount of Classical Music influences with Funeral Doom Metal in a background of extreme desolation and beauty. Lyrically speaking, the influences are to be found in Schopenhaur and Byron's works.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

Well, I think it was to give an interview for a printed North American magazine and since we are from Brazil t was amazing and also for our EP to be published and distributed via MFL Records, a great Russian label.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Definitely Desire, Virgin Black and Cryptal Darkness

5. What are your plans for the near future?

After we finished out debut full-lenght album later this year our new goal and focus shall be the concerts we are planning to play in several places in Brazil as well as in Latin America. And after this, we’ll make a concert release party, releasing our full album at Canal da Música, one of the greatest auditoriums for concerts in Latin America, here in Brazil.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

De Profvndis Clamati is a band which sort of stands out from the majority of the Doom Metal bands, bringing profound melancholic feelings rather than the commonly usued grim darkness most Doom Metal bands convey. And we are preparing a new concept in terms of Funeral Doom Metal which we’ll be revealing with our full album.
