Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Brethren.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

3-piece Glaswegian doom (gloom?). Brethren so far has been new beginnings and learning new skills, having played in different bands over the last 20 years.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

We wanted to push our song writing and move on from other styles. It’s kept it fresh for us so far.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

Finding a working relationship and getting our first release out. It’s been a slow build but we’re hitting our stride.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Sleep. Electric Wizard. Ahab.

5. What are your plans for the near future?

Get over our nerves and play some shows. Got a festival lined up and we’re hoping to tour with Hundred Year Old Man; they’re old friends of ours.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

Desperation, confusion, extremity, fear – given to sure ruination.
