Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Plague Of Carcosa.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

We are Plague of Carcosa Ė originally conceived as a solo project, more members were added and the musical style was changed from dark SunnO)) style drone to full band stoner/sludge based doom.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

We chose doom because the idea of the riff resonated with us. Iím not a fan of drawing comparisons to other acts on my own, but we have heard that we sound like Thou meets Sleep. Our style is largely based on the aforementioned concept of the riff Ė find one that sticks with you, and as the player, hammer it into the listener through repetition with variation. Out setup is a little odd in that we lack a bassist, so octave pedals and two guitars in different tunings are important to us. One of our guitars is all the way down in F.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

Working with a member of Bongripper to master our latest track, ĎRats In The Wallsí

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Bongripper, Conan, Windhand

5. What are your plans for the near future?

Continue to write, and begin to line up some local shows once we recover lost gear (but thatís another story)

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

If your amp isnít named after a color, I probably donít care for it. Just kidding, any loud amp is beautiful. We appreciate anyone who takes the time to listen to our songs, especially if you give us any feedback!
