Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Nornes.

1. Who are you and how did the band get started ?

NORNES is a doom-metal band from the north of France. The band started in 2017 from the ashes of several metal projects.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

We did not really choose Doom. That’s the way we needed to express ourselves. NORNES is a nearly prog doom-metal band. We trie to reconcile our desire to be a current band but above all to remain sincere, authentic and devoted to the foundation of doom in compositions that pull us down.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

NORNES is still young. The most important thing is our EP “Vanity”. But great things are yet planned as an opening for Apostle of Solitude.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Cathedral, My Dying Bride, Pallbearer in different ways

5. What are your plans for the near future?

Good dates, a second EP in 2019, and we hope a few festivals next summer.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

Shall we quote Reverend Bizarre “Hail to the Goddess, the Goddess of Doom Who tunes our instruments with darkness and gloom”
