Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Urza.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

We are URZA from Berlin, Germany. The band was founded in May 2015 as a three-piece. After a few months the line-up was completed as a five-piece, 2 guitars, bass, drums and vocals.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

The three of us who started the band wanted to create their own brand of Doom for a longer time because we love Doom, especially the more extreme variants of the genre. So we describe our style as Funeral Death Doom.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

First of all the recording of our first full length „The Omnipresence of Loss“ that will hopefully be released at the end of the year 2018. Then the appearance of some great festivals and gigs such as the „Dutch Doom Days“ in the Netherlands, the „Swamp Fest“ in Berlin or the „Haunting the Castle“ in Belgium.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Ataraxie, Bell Witch, Thergothon.

5. What are your plans for the near future?

Finishing all the tasks for the release of our first album „The Omnipresence of Loss“ that will contain 5 songs with approx 62 minutes of total playing time. Then have more live appearances in Germany and abroad. And we are already working on new songs for the second album.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to present our band URZA and for supporting the Doom Metal scene for so many years.
