Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Cleef.

1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

Cleef is a Brazilian doom metal band. The band started in late 2017, by the ashes of another stoner rock band called Sonic Dash. Our first bassist departed in October/2017 and Guilherme Miranda joined the band. Since then we entered the doom metal realm and started working on our songs and the band concept. Cleef is: Jimmy Olden – guitars and vocals Guilherme Miranda – bass and vocals Leonardo Orlando – drums

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

Because is the only truthful and visceral heavy metal style in our opinion. It’s the only way to spit our demons to the ground. Our material is more focused on traditional doom metal, and 90s raw heavy rock.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

Touring with the bands who are the carriers of the genre, become the carrier of doom metal here in Brazil (we have very few doom bands here). Bring something important to the genre, build our own identity and style.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Pentagram, The Obsessed and Candlemass.

5. What are your plans for the near future?

We’re programming for the next releases scheduled for this year and start touring.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

We have released a single called ‘The Show is Over’ on all streaming services (Spotify, Itunes, Deezer, etc) on Nov 30th 2018 and we have scheduled this year a EP, a debut album and some extra features. Thank you guys!
