Cough : Kingdom EP

Cough is a new band from Richmond, formed in 2005, and this EP is their first effort. Iím not sure if the members of the band had any previous experience with other groups, but they sound as though they are veterans of the east coast scene. The four songs on the album are well elaborated and the overall sound is mature and not drowned in its influences, and teh album has got a good production too.

If you enjoy dark, heavy and smoking riff-based music, this is for you. I hope that this EP will be a vehicle for a record deal. Not to forget an extra point goes for the slipcase that is made out of recycled cardboard!

Reviewer's rating: 6.5/10
