Malicious Dream : Innersensis

This is the second demo/EP from this Dutch band. I don't know what they used to be like, but this demo reveals a group with talent and great prospects. The sound of the band is influenced by names like Opeth, My Dying Bride, Moonspell, and progressive metal.

What I loved about the demo is the clever songwriting, and the melodic and heavy parts are entwined with virtuosity. They use grunts and clear vocals which both stand in high levels of quality. A major advantage of the EP is the unbelievable production for a self-released work; each instrument is clear and loud.

You can visit their homepage at http://www.maliciousdream.com, and there you can find info about the band and listen to some of their songs, including their first demo.
