Atmospheric Doom, Ambient Very nice, intimate, melodic and atmospheric music with female vocals. The 3rd and the Mortal often paint so-called "soundscapes" with their music. It is easy to imagine a fairytale-land full of misery and pain when listening to their music. Earliest releases Sorrow and Tears Laid in Earth can be seen as textbook examples of Atmospheric Doom Metal, while their later works go into more of a strange and experimental combination of Darkwave, Ambient, and Jazz. |

Stopped composing Doom-metal after the 'Tears Laid in Earth' album. Also after this album, female vocalist Kari Rueslåtten left to pursue a solo career and was replaced by A. M. Edvardsen. A. M. Edvardsen in turn left the band after 'In This Room' and now sings in Tactile Gemma together with her sister. The band, with just one remaining original member continues without a steady vocalist into a more electronic/trip hop direction. The last release features multiple guest vocalists (male and female), two of which went on tour with the band. Kari also sang on the only release of Storm, a viking/folk metal band. |
