Genre not specified Painful Memories existed only for a few years and saw only two demo tape releases. Then the band split up. They are clearly influenced by bands such as Anathema and My Dying Bride, but with a distinct chug to their riffage and a tendency towards the eastern european gothic metal or melodic death metal sound (post-demo era Litthe Dead Bertha/Bertha and Mystical Gate are fit examples). According to Solitude Productions, who also re-released the first demo, the band achieved a legendary status in the St. Petersburg area. |
