| Funeral Doom Mistress of the Dead's sound is characterized by long, cold, ultra-slow, brutal works filled with weeping guitars, slow growls and distant, mournful vocal and keyboard parts. There are similarities to Until Death Overtakes Me and Worship. The material is relentlessly morbid and tragic, centered around loss and death, graveside misery and suicidal fatality, making it one of the most extreme examples of the depressive funeral doom. |

| This solo project by Vlad Cristea Vales began around 2004, with a prolific burst of activity that saw numerous full-length self-releases and re-releases over the next few years. After 2008, struggles with ill-health slowed this flood, and the band's last 'new' release was in 2011. In 2018, Russian label GS Productions oversaw the re-release of the band's entire catalogue, including previously unreleased works dating back to 2013 and earlier. |
