| Genre not specified Dead In The Water keeps to the oldschool vein of doom/death, i.e. like bands such as diSEMBOWELMENT and Winter, though the music also leans towards the "Peaceville Three" vein and towards doom/black bands such as Bethlehem. They use plenty of growls and chugging death metal riffage, intersected with atmospheric and melodic sections. Apparently, they started out playing hardcore (indeed Dead In The Water did form from the ashes of the hardcore band Sharpeville), but we can verify that at least 'Echoes... In The Ruins' is a real doom/death album. |
