Gothic/Doom Beirut's Kimaera play an orchestral and quite Metal-influenced version of melodic Gothic/Death Doom that includes plenty of violin and keyboards. Over the course of three albums, they have established a hallmark of choppy and unpredictable transitions between the various sections of tracks, mixing up symphonic and female-vocalled acoustic parts with guitar solos and more riff-driven Death/Doom segments more or less at will. The result sounds like a somewhat random hybrid of several different Beauty-and-the-Beast-styled Gothic Doom/Metal bands. |
