| Drone/Doom An Extreme Doom project from Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Burning Witch, Thorr's Hammer, and a plethora of Drone/Experimental projects) and James Plotkin (Regurgitation, Old, Scorn, Khlyst, Atomsmasher). Where Burning Witch pushed the brink of being some of the most insane sounding Sludge imaginable, Khanate crossed those boundaries far into Drone and Avant-garde territories. The general characteristics of their sound consist of blaring, droning riffs, sparse drumming, loud blasts of feedback, and utterly disturbing screamed vocals. |
