Les Ténèbres

Norway - Active.

Description

Genre not specified

While Les Ténèbres is a French name (meaning "the darkness"), the band itself is Norwegian. And not only, the theme of the music is the sea, portrayed in the grey colors of the North-Atlantic rather than the warm, welcoming Côte d'Azur. The music in itself can perhaps best be described as atmospheric doom-death/doom-black/doom-gothic with elements from The 3rd and the Mortal, Kauan, The Fall of Every Season, Nathan P. Holly, Woods of Ypres, Jack Frost, and Canaan. The serene clean vocals of Gustav Jørgen Pedersen milden the music and give it a character of its own.
