Nightly Gale

Poland - Active.

Description

Avantgarde Doom, Undefinable

Nightly Gale plays a highly original, yet hard to swallow, form of unorthodox Doom. The bulk of their music is built off of extremely heavy and monotonous riffs, gloomy clean male vocals, and a very detached sounding atmosphere. The first two albums include some incredibly ugly black metal shrieks (a la early-Katatonia), while their latter two releases pursue more Avant-garde territory, tying in some trumpets and jazz-like female vocals! Altogether, their sound is very diverse and unusual Doom that lies somewhere among a more accessible Unholy, Beyond Dawn, and Shape of Despair.
