Omit

Norway - Active.

Description

Atmospheric Doom

Melodic Doom Metal featuring excellent clean female vocals from Skumring's Cecilie Langlie. The music sounds epic and is richly orchestrated, with string arrangements and acoustic passages. However, Omit strays far from the typical bombast of modern Symphonic Metal, mostly sticking to a very mournful and weeping atmosphere. A promising new project for fans of Funeral, Lethian Dreams, and The 3rd and the Mortal.

Misc

Kjetil Ottersen, former member of both Funeral and Fallen, is also part of this new outfit. It seems like Omit are delivering the kind of music one would have expected from a new Fallen album, with whom Cecilie Langlie had begun to collaborate before the whole project fell into hibernation (apparently due to personal differences).
