| Atmospheric Doom A Kiev-based solo project drawing inspiration from various atmospheric and melodic Metal sources, Mourning Pyre fall broadly under the heading of Atmospheric Doom, with a strong feel of textural Post-Metal influence running through the music. Largely instrumental, with clear Blackened elements, particularly in the tempo, the sound is often doomy rather than outright Doom, but the overall mood created is one of appropriate melancholy. |
