| Black/Doom, Ambient A fresh new group from the US, Maestus play a very intense and complex take on Black/Doom Metal. Atmospheric, funeral-paced doom chords alternate with high-speed passages of Black Metal. The vocals range from monstrous growls and blistering screams to dreamy clean male singing. Long, astral sections of Dark Ambient come up at times as well, adding to the mysterious and majestic feel of the music. They should be perfect for fans of Shape of Despair, Ahab, and Agalloch. |
