| Avantgarde Doom, Sludge/Doom A one-man project from Bochum, GOWLOn offer an interestingly eclectic form of experimental instrumentalism that takes influences from Black Metal, Sludge/Doom, Drone/Doom and Post-Rock. Despite a fair quantity of comparatively high-tempo passages, the overall mood is one of cold, dirty dissonance and disconnection. It could equally be argued that the genre should be Atmospheric, based on the result rather than the experimental and textural process of creating it. |
