| Gothic/Doom Whispering Woods, from Cluj-Napoca, are an eight-piece band featuring two keyboard players, a flautist and two female vocalists alongside a guitarist, bassist and drummer. Straddling the borders of Symphonic Metal, Gothic Metal and Gothic/Doom, the band sound combines equal measures of early 3rd And The Mortal, Nightwish and latterday Therion. Despite the immediate dominance of classical Symphonic elements, there is more Doom influence and atmosphere in the music than first appears. |
