| Death/Doom, Funeral Doom A duo from Idaho, Throes Of Ire class themselves as 'Horror Doom', and support that with songs drawn from historical or mythical supernaturally-inspired sources and a cinematic theatricality in composition. The debut album was almost pure Death/Doom, but the follow-up EP moved into the territory where slow Death/Doom meets Funeral, with very long tracks containing riff and vocal patterns taken from both genres, as well as atmospherically instrumental interludes. Should appeal to fans of early Ahab and My Dying Bride. |
