| Gothic/Doom, Death/Doom R.E.T. (Reaction Extasy Trance - also written Ecstasy or Exstasy) are a sizeable collective - currently an 8-piece - from Třinec, originally formed in 1989. Early works saw them as a slow Death/Doom band with chaotic elements, some sporadic female vocals and heavy death grunts. From 2002 onwards, they moved more towards a combination of Gothic Doom with Gothic Metal, mixing in acoustic and symphonic moments. Not always especially heavy, despite the dark atmospheres and often-extreme vocals, latterday albums should find favour amongst fans of the Theatre Of Tragedy, Amorphis and Within Temptation sounds of the late 90s/early 2000s. |
