| Atmospheric Doom Formed in 2012 from members of Phased and shEver, Ashtar are primarily a duo from Basel, with additional live-only personnel. Their music is an unusual mix of blackened/sludgy Doom incorporating quite psychedelic and spacy, ritualistic Stoner - and other - influences. Difficult to pigeonhole with comparisons, this could be appreciated across a wide spectrum of Doom genres, as well as by the retro/occult rock community. |
