| Atmospheric Doom Although they are a new band from South America, one would suspect Mourning Sun came from Europe during the peak of bands such as The Gathering, Theatre of Tragedy, or The 3rd and the Mortal. Mourning Sun follows closely in these bands' footsteps, pursuing dreamy Atmospheric Doom with charismatic female vocals, and some elements of Ethereal Wave music. Slow, gloomy riffs alternate with extended passages of quiet, Ambient soundscapes, creating a very mysterious ambiance. Fans of the aforementioned bands, as well as fans of modern Atmospheric Doom such as Omit and Lethian Dreams, will love it. |
