| Stoner, Sludge/Doom Four-piece Forming The Void, from Lafayette, broadly operate under a Stoner banner, but with influences ranging from grunge to old-school heavy rock, and including Prog/Post-Metal/Sludge and plenty of Doom elements. The end result is hard to accurately define in genre terms, but comes close to sounding like Soundgarden played at Doom tempo and heaviness, with added Stoner groove'n'swagger. |
