Were-Jaguars

USA - Active.

Description

Avantgarde Doom, Stoner/Doom

Formed in Austin, Texas, by Chad Rauschenberg, and consisting of members of Prog/psych band A Five and Dime Ship and Doom band Blood for Master. Were-Jaguars term themselves Progressive/Doom, and freely mix elements of Stoner, Doom with Prog and Space Rock. The atmosphere isn't particularly doomy, but the heavy riffing frequently is - even so, there's as many Pink Floyd, Hawkwind and even Gong moments as there are clear-cut Doom ones.
