Thee Plague of Gentlemen

Belgium - Disbanded.

Description

Sludge/Doom

Very angry, aggressive, and HEAVY sludge/doom metal from Belgium, with an emphasis on chugging riffs and various rhythm changes. The vocals consist of hateful screams and gravelly cleans. The riffs range from grooving, up- tempo peaks of bass-heavy sludge, to droning, lumbering drags of funeral-paced doom.

Misc

The '4 Way Split 12 Inch LP' is a split between D O M, Sloth, Thee Plague Of Gentlemen and Wuzor. Bassist Frederic used to play in Pantheist.

The band broke up in July 2006 when frontman Steve Mac was charged with very serious criminal offences. He later confessed. One ought to note, however, that the remaining members of the band strongly dissociate with Steve's offences. The other band members eventually formed Serpentcult, which consists of the same material, only with a clean female vocalist.
