Epic Doom, Pagan/Ritualist Begun at the end of 1992, Gods Tower was a continuation of Death/Thrash unit Chemical Warfare. Mixing a heavily Pagan vibe with Folk touches around an Epic Heavy/Doom Metal core, the band also included some influences inherited from their earlier incarnation. With such a broad inclusiveness, it's difficult to easily classify or compare them to any particular band, but their most prominent trait is adherence to Pagan philosophy and themes. |

Founded in 1989 as Death/Thrash band Chemical Warfare by Alexander Urakoff (guitars) and Lesley Knife (vocals). After one demo, they changed musical direction and renamed the band Gods Tower. The band split up in 2001, after which Urakoff passed away. The surviving members reunited in 2010, originally intending it to be just a temporary project. |
