| Traditional Doom A Rio de Janeiro power trio formed in 2017, Pombajira includes veteran musicians guitarist/vocalist Hellson Röcha (ex-Grave Desolator) and drummer Thiago Splatter (Cold Night, and many others). Underpinned by a sometime fuzzy, Stoner vibe, the band mostly concentrate on quite pure US-style Trad Doom that will sound familiar to fans of all the usual Maryland/St Vitus et al suspects. |

| While Pombajira (or Pombagira) is known as part of the Afro-Caribbean voodoo pantheon, she also features significantly in a number of Afro-Brazilian religions and cults. The name was chosen more for the controversial rebelliousness of the goddess' persona than any out of any mystical significance, and the band have no particular occult slant. |
