| Black/Doom Rome-based band Ars Onirica was founded in 2003, released one demo and then went on hiatus until 2018. Although self-tagged as Depressive Black/Doom, that influence is rather limited to a core of 'Brave Murder Day'-style chugging riffs amidst a variety of eclectic elements ranging from melodic/acoustic interludes to Nu-Metal breakdowns, all bound together by hoarsely shouted Post-Metal style vocals. Overall, it comes across as far too relentlessly pacy, upbeat and dynamic to warrant any realistic or consistent Doom label. |
