Avantgarde Doom Founded in 2009 in Kampala, Vale Of Amonition was initially inspired by both Doom/Metal and literature, but swiftly began to pull in other cultural elements, forming a raw but unique sound. Vocals range from spoken-word to chants to clean to extreme growls: similarly, the music shifts unpredictably across the gamut from Funeral pace and heaviness through Trad/Stoner/Metal to tribal/ritual rhythms and gentle melodies. Too chaotic and primal to be considered Progressive, this shares something of the fierce experimentalism of bands like Unholy. |
