Death/Doom, Gothic/Doom The Wounded started out as a doom/death metal band in the vein of early to mid period Anathema, but with more weeping clean vocals. The band always had an overt goth rock sound to their music normally associated bands like Sisters of Mercy, The Cure. Their second album saw them moving away from doom/death towards a more goth rock/metal sound, losing their growls and most of their metallic edge. |
