Solicide

Belgium - Active.

Description

Funeral Doom, Ambient

A harsh, desolate and cold funeral doom solo project. Solicide uses timpani, church organ, heavy and distorted, sometimes near-droning guitars and solemn grunts and whispers to create long, slow and bleak soundscapes, comparable to those of Until Death Overtakes Me, Thergothon, Skepticism and others. Solicide has less of an ambient feeling than some of these acts, but nonetheless there is still an emphatic, crushing atmosphere present...this band is doom in every sense of the word. Altogether, Solicide is a very original and unique young project (with deep philosophical inspirations and lyrics in French, English, German, Dutch and Italian!), and is well worth checking out for anyone interested in unconventional, dark and extreme funeral death/doom.
