Atmospheric Doom Translated to English, the band's name means dusk. The band is clearly influenced by the early works of The 3rd and the Mortal, yet Skumring takes a heavier and more funereal approach. Crushing, mournful, and repetitive riffs are blended with gentle acoustic folk passages and the soaring clean vocals of Cecilie Langlie (also in Omit, and formerly Fallen). Very gloomy doom which will also appeal to fans of Funeral, Estatic Fear, and Empyrium. |
