2020-02-09 : Re-recorded diSEMBOWELMENT track available for download here Band founder Renato Gallina's definitive 2019 re-recording of diSEMBOWELMENT's ''Nightside Of Eden' is available here. Death/Doom legends diSEMBOWELMENT disbanded in 1993, and have since maintained only the most cursory of web presences and no plans to ever resurrect the band, so it was a huge but pleasant surprise to be contacted recently by guitarist/vocalist Renato Gallina with a newly re-recorded version of a track from their only full-length album, and a personal statement to go with it: "In 2019, Renato Gallina, the founder behind Australian death/doom band, diSEMBOWELMENT, felt a powerful urge to re-visit the track, Nightside of Eden, which was featured on their one and only album, ‘Transcendence Into The Peripheral’. Gallina was always incredibly dissatisfied with this version and stated that it ‘was the weakest and most regretful moment on the album’. Almost 3 decades later, the track has been re-contextualised and is finally true to how it was originally meant to sound". There are no plans to release this track officially, in any form, but Renato has graciously given permission for doom-metal.com to distribute it to fans of the band. If you would like to download it, the track is available as a zip in either: MP3 320 format or WAV format. The song is also available as a stream on our YouTube channel: |
