2020-09-03 : Exclusive: official video premiere from Marche Funèbre Exclusive new video premiere With kind permission of our friends in Marche Funèbre and at Hypnotic Dirge Records/Solitude Productions, we are pleased to present the new official video for 'The Maelstrom Mute', second single taken from the forthcoming album 'Einderlicht'. Drawing once again on their love of poetry and classics, 'The Maelstrom Mute' takes its lyrics from 'Verrà la morte e avrà i tuoi occhi' (Death will come and will have your eyes), written shortly before Italian poet Cesare Pavese's suicide in 1950, and marries them to the Belgian band's distinctive blackened Death/Doom sound, presented here in a pro video by Absynthe Moon Films. 'Einderlicht', (The light at/of the end) is the fourth full-length album from Marche Funèbre, continuing their arc of combining Death, Black, and Doom Metal in a unique mix, with strong melodies and a wide vocal approach. The band say: "The album consists of 6 songs, written between 2016 and 2019. Thematically we focussed on the strange ability of mankind to deliberately decide to end one’s life. The title track 'Einderlicht' is also our first song in Dutch". As with previous works, it was recorded by Empyrium's Markus Stock, and illustrated with artwork by Brooke Shaden. The album is available for preorder now, and due to be released on 25th September in digital, CD digipack and double LP formats. Preorders and merch bundles at the Marche Funèbre Bandcamp page, and from Canada via the Hypnotic Dirge Bandcamp page, or CD versions from Russia via the Solitude webstore.
